Pillar 12 (第12柱 Dai 12-hashira) is the twelfth chapter of the Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist manga.

Summary[]

William denies everything, covering Isaac's mouth. Crosby seems to relent, and goes after Sytry - who turns into his demon form in order to escape the attack.

Dantalion puts a barrier around the area to keep anyone from noticing. Crosby is revealed to be a part of the Hand of God, a special organisation of Exorcists within the Church of England's peacekeeping division.

Sytry isn't impressed and attacks the reverend, who retaliates with his demon familiars. Dantalion offers to help, but William won't use his powers, while Sytry's in big trouble.

The reverend blasts William away, and answers to Dantalion that as representatives of God, clergymen can destroy the Elector. Dantalion is annoyed, calling humans more foolish and selfish than demons.

He and Crosby fight, and he overwhelms the man. William stops him from killing the priest, saying that as a human he'll follow the laws of the human world.

Dantalion asks to accept demons, as no matter how much he denies the Demon World will be there. Crosby escapes and Dantalion asks William to command him to protect him.

William doesn't answer, but says that as a scientist he'd investigate unscientific phenomena and that he won't deny their existence any longer (when Dantalion inquires if that means he can stay by his side).

Somewhere, Crosby is alerting someone that William is the Elector, and can command the Pillars.

Back in Stratford, Isaac and William ruminate on Crosby, who is on sick leave, when a new reverend is announced. It is Kevin.
